Bottorff

Claire Bottorff, a 2019 graduate of Thomas Worthington High School and the Delaware Area Career Center’s Health Technology & Nursing program, has dedicated her career to helping others in some of the most challenging moments of their lives. After working on the Burn Unit at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for more than three years, Claire is excited to officially step into her new role as a Registered Nurse this spring when she graduates with her BSN from Otterbein University.

Reflecting on her DACC experience, Claire shared, “The Health Technologies program helped get my foot in the door with healthcare.” The hands-on training and industry certifications she earned while still in high school gave her the foundation and confidence to pursue nursing at the highest level.

Claire also encourages current students to seize every opportunity: “DACC offers students so many opportunities that others your age don’t get, but you have to be the one to take that first step! Make sure you take advantage of what you graduate with—even if you decide later on down the road that that isn’t the path you want to take.”

Claire’s journey is a shining example of how DACC equips students to pursue their passions and prepare for meaningful careers in healthcare.
