The online application for the 2021/2022 school year is now open.

Step1: Campus Visit

Schedule a campus visit prior to applying. Opportunities for visiting our campus will open up in the fall of 2021.

Create an account in Infosnap, our application system, to start the application process.

Use an email address other than your school-assigned email address so we can stay in touch about the progress of your application.

Step 3: Register for a Readiness Exam (Zoo School students only)

The Columbus Zoo & Aquarium School program requires a readiness exam. Zoo School applicants must also fill out a teacher recommendation form.

Step 4: Begin the Application

You will be asked to provide your name, address, phone number, and email address. You'll also need parent/guardian contact information, including name, address, phone, and email.

Do not provide a school-assigned email address so we can stay in touch about the progress of your application.

Step 5: Select Your Program of Interest

The application will ask you to choose a first and second choice. If your first choice fills, you will be put on a waiting list. However, there may be an opportunity to be placed in your second choice.

Step 6: Essay Questions

You will be asked 3 essay questions:

  • What do you expect to learn in the program you selected?

  • What experiences have you had that will contribute to your success in the program?

  • When you look into the future, what do you see for yourself?

Step 7: Sign & Submit

Both the student and parent will click a consent button and be sure to click 'submit' when you're finished.

Next Steps

  • After you complete the application, your guidance counselor will be notified and will upload needed information including your transcript. 

  • The DACC Student Services Department will be reviewing applications from February - May.

  • Acceptance letters will be emailed and mailed to students and parents.

Note that during the application process, preference will be given to sophomores for junior/senior programs.
