Five outstanding students have been named winners of the annual Delaware Area Career Portfolio Competition. Each recipient will receive a $250 cash award from their sponsoring organization, along with a certificate of recognition from the Delaware Area Career Center.
The Career Portfolio is a comprehensive summary of a student’s achievements throughout high school and a blueprint for their future goals. Students developed electronic portfolios featuring documents, photos, and multimedia elements to highlight their skills, career interests, and accomplishments. Portfolios also included information on education and training, work-based learning, volunteerism, and extracurricular involvement.
The competition was open to high school seniors from Big Walnut, Buckeye Valley, Delaware Area Career Center, Delaware Hayes, Olentangy, Olentangy Berlin, Olentangy Liberty, and Olentangy Orange. Submissions were evaluated by community volunteers using a standardized scoring rubric, and the top five portfolios were selected for recognition.
