DACC Medical Assisting students recently had the opportunity to participate in mock interviews conducted by healthcare professionals from The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and OSU Physicians. These sessions provided valuable, real-world experience to help students build confidence and sharpen their professional communication skills.
Mock interviews are an essential part of preparing students for their future careers. By engaging with experienced professionals in a realistic interview setting, students learned how to present themselves effectively, respond to common questions, and receive constructive feedback—all before facing the pressures of a real job interview. Experiences like these help bridge the gap between classroom learning and the professional world.
We are grateful to the representatives from OSU Wexner and OSU Physicians for volunteering their time and expertise to support our students’ growth. Their insights and encouragement made a lasting impact.
Special thanks also go to Medical Assisting Instructor Mrs. Swonger, whose dedication to creating authentic learning experiences made this event possible. Her commitment ensures our students are well-prepared to pursue meaningful careers in healthcare.
