The Delaware Area Career Center proudly celebrates the success of the first graduating class of the Broadband Infrastructure Training Program (BITP). This milestone marks a significant achievement for the 13 adult learners who have completed the program, equipping them with the skills and certifications needed to enter the growing broadband and telecommunications industry.
The BITP was launched to address the increasing demand for skilled professionals in broadband infrastructure, offering hands-on training and certification opportunities. Throughout the course, students gained expertise in fiber optic technology, cable termination, network installation, and safety protocols, preparing them for careers as Broadband Equipment Installation Technicians, Fiber Optic Cable Installers, and more.
“In just a few short months, these graduates have transformed their skills and career opportunities,” said Steve Blankley, the Program Instructor. “They’ve worked hard to master complex techniques and industry standards, and I couldn’t be more proud of their dedication and perseverance. They are now equipped to make an impact in a high-demand industry.”
DACC remains committed to providing high-quality career training programs that align with workforce needs. With the success of this first cohort, we look forward to welcoming future classes into the BITP and helping even more individuals launch rewarding careers in broadband infrastructure.
