Nathaniel Martin, a 2017 graduate of DACC’s Digital Design program, has built an impressive career in communications, social media, and photography. Based in New York City, Nathaniel serves as the Communications Department Lead and Social Media Manager for Gotham Sound & Communications. In addition to his full-time role, he works as a freelance photographer and Social Media Content Director for several small NYC-based businesses.
Reflecting on his time at DACC, Nathaniel credits the program for equipping him with the foundational skills and confidence needed to pursue his diverse career path. “DACC provided me with base-level knowledge in all the skills I’ve turned into professions, while also giving me the confidence to pursue them,” he shares. The combination of technical expertise and self-assurance he gained through the Digital Design program has been key to his success in managing multiple roles across creative and technical fields.
Nathaniel’s advice to current and future DACC students encourages thoughtful decision-making: “Don’t settle for the first opportunity that comes your way. Weigh multiple options and evaluate which opportunity will give you the most fulfillment in three years.” His words inspire students to think long-term about their goals and choose paths that align with their passions and aspirations.
