She's now an undergraduate at the Florida Institute of Technology, where she's diving deep into shark conservation genetics at the Daly-Engel Shark Conservation Lab.
Reflecting on her time at DACC, Lila credits the Zoo School program for equipping her with vital professional skills. “The program's emphasis on scientific writing and research was instrumental in shaping my capabilities as a scientific writer. These skills are now pivotal in my academic journey, aiding in presentations, scholarship applications, and scientific papers,” she shares.
