Delaware Area Career Center joined more than 40 other career-technical education (CTE) schools at the Ohio Statehouse on Wednesday to promote Career Tech Education as part of the Ohio ACTE Student Showcase.
DACC’s Dental Assisting program was represented by instructor Kamal Vilkhu and senior student ambassador Keira Kwak, who shared how advancing technology is being integrated into the classroom to prepare students for careers in dental offices. The pair demonstrated the proper use of a digital scanner—technology Keira has learned in class and is continuing to refine through her work-based learning experience at a local dental office.
The Ohio ACTE Student Showcase coincided with the Ohio ACTE Legislative Conference, where educators and policymakers come together to advocate for and support career-technical education across the state.
