You will apply math, science, communication, and team building skills to work on large and small construction projects, from beginning to end.
You will learn to construct, erect, install, remodel, and repair structures and systems of wood, plywood, wallboard, and metal using carpenter’s hand tools and power tools. In this 2-year program, you will study construction safety procedures, blueprint orientation, and construction math.
Areas of study include:
Proper use of hand tools and power tools
Wood building materials, fasteners, and adhesives
Wall and ceiling framing, windows, and exterior doors
Practical experience with new residential construction application
Construction Technology: Core and Sustainable Construction
Principles of Woods Construction
Carpentry and masonry
Structural coverings and finishings

This program is participating in the Chromebook One to One Experience. An additional one-time fee to purchase a Chromebook will be waived if you are a returning student who has already participated in the Chromebook One to One Experience or if you are bringing your own technology.
