On October 9th, we welcomed healthcare industry partners to campus for a special event focused on connecting students with real-world opportunities. Students enrolled in DACC's health-related programs engaged in valuable conversations about internships, early job placements, and potential career paths.
Business partners in attendance included:
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
Nationwide Children’s Hospital
Central Ohio Primary Care
Forge Biologics
Hocking College
The Inn at Walnut Trail
These organizations brought insight into current industry demands, hiring expectations, and educational pathways. Students had the chance to ask questions, explore future options, and begin building professional relationships that could lead to future employment.
As part of the event, DACC Biotechnology Instructor Mr. Dyer showcased a brand new Anatomage Virtual Cadaver Table, an advanced 3D anatomy visualization tool. This cutting-edge resource will be available for use by all DACC healthcare programs, offering students an immersive, hands-on learning experience that mirrors real-world medical training.
"Connecting with industry professionals is one hurdle we are happy to remove for our students as they transition from high school into college and future careers," said Lisa-Marie Reinhart, Career Readiness Coordinator. "Events like these help bridge the gap between education and the workforce."
The event reflects DACC’s continued commitment to providing students with hands-on experiences and direct access to leaders in their field of study, ensuring graduates are prepared and confident for what comes next.
