Students from DACC collected canned goods, clothing, and needed supplies for the annual Holiday Clearing House event through People In Need (PIN). By bringing in the most amount of items, students in the Bioscience program earned the privilege to deliver the items to the Delaware County Fairgrounds, where they toured the facilities and learned more about the great resource in Delaware County.
“Wow! What a weekend it was for PIN. Thanks to our hundreds of volunteers giving thousands of hours of their time, the 68th Holiday Clearing House was an incredible success. 345 families, plus senior households, received their toys and gifts, winter coats, and holiday meals to enjoy together. We could not have given out the thousands of toys, tons of food, and hundreds of coats without the amazing support of our drive partners. More than 5 dozen of you hosted drives for the occasion, allowing us to continue to operate this program at such a high level.
