Question. Persuade. Refer. (QPR) Gatekeeper Training
Delaware Area Career Center, in partnership with HelpLine of Delaware & Morrow Counties, is proud to offer QPR Training (September 26 - October 4). Over the course of the week, students will participate in one of the 45-minute sessions scheduled during their lab time. Question. Persuade. Refer. (QPR) Gatekeeper Training for Suicide Prevention is an educational program that addresses suicide risk by educating “gatekeepers” on recognizing signs in their peers as well as providing information on where to turn for help.
The program is evidence-based with more than twenty years of practice and research behind it. The training is delivered by certified QPR Gatekeeper Instructors along with DACC Staff.
Students will be given a brief questionnaire on the day of the program. This questionnaire assists school professionals in the process of identifying and connecting at-risk students to the help they may need. If you do not wish to have your student participate in the QPR training, please complete this form. DACC will accommodate a supervised area for students not participating in the program.
