Breanna Castle, a student in DACC’s Early Childhood Education (ECE) program, composed a Senior Project combining her existing experience and knowledge with aspirations for the future.
Castle and her fellow students were given full creative freedom with this project, and as an aspiring elementary school teacher, she chose to design a student curriculum. “I put together nine different lesson plans,” Castle said, explaining that each revolved around the topic of nature. “I have several lesson plans I can now use in the future. I like coming up with my own and being able to use them with the kids.” furthering that the experience helped improve her time management skills, fostered a sense of independence and aided the discovery of her strengths and passions for education.
