Adult education student holding high school diploma

Ebonie Garrett was thrilled to pick up her high school diploma recently from the Delaware Area Career Center. She is the first student to successfully complete the Adult Diploma Program, a partnership between Delaware Area Career Center’s Adult Education and ASPIRE. The Adult Diploma Program provides job training and a new pathway for adults to earn a high school diploma at no cost to students like Ebonie.

What this means for Ebonie is that while she took classes to earn her high school diploma, she also earned her STNA certification, a valuable credential in the healthcare field. Ebonie’s goal is to continue her education by earning her LPN with the eventual goal of becoming a registered nurse.
