Sixteen years after she graduated from DACC’s Dental Assisting program, Kamila VanWay found herself mentoring a current student from the same program.
Kamila is the Office Manager at Northstar Family Dental. Brooklyn is a current junior and was excited to learn from a DACC alumnus. “It’s nice,” explained Brooklyn. “She knows how to explain things in ways that I get right away because she understands what I’m learning in lab and what knowledge I’m bringing with me.”
Brooklyn will be returning to Northstar next week for more real-life, hands-on experiences that she will be able to take back to the classroom with her.
