DACC Staff Spotlight: Seth Hinklin, Social Studies Instructor
Seth Hinklin is in his 4th Year at DACC teaching Social Studies. Before DACC, he was a restaurant manager and worked as an academic assistant at Worthington Kilbourne High School.
Favorite Teaching Memory: “Pinning down one specific memory would be impossible, but my favorite moments come from any time I can make a student laugh or smile. No matter how hard we may try, we can never know everything going on with our students or what is going through their head at a given moment. But if I can make someone smile, that's a moment when they're a little less stressed, tired, anxious, etc., which will put them in a better state of mind for learning.”
Seth is engaged plans on getting married in summer 2022. He has 2 cats, Peaches and Mama.
Outside of teaching, Seth enjoys gaming. He’s a former pro-gamer and loves board games, of which he has a collection over 100. Seth also likes going to the movies, everything Star Wars and Marvel, and traveling.
