DACC Staff Spotlight: Brian Hale, Social Studies Instructor
This is Brian Hale’s 10th year at DACC. Before teaching, he worked in HVAC.
Mr. Hale has had many great memories at DACC, but 2 favorites. “The first year of moving to the new academic model… we refer to it as golden year. It was a great year with great students and staff trying new things.” The other favorite: “The time our junior and senior students and staff dressed up as me in my signature khakis and flannel on my last day before leaving for paternity leave.” (picture included) After working at a career center, Brian says he doesn’t know if he’d ever want to teach in a traditional school again. “Seeing students who are goal-oriented and passionate about what they are doing makes this a very unique place to be.”
When not teaching, Brian enjoys hiking, biking with his buddies from high school, reading Star Wars comic books, playing video games, and vacationing at Disney World.
Brian and his wife, Jodie, have a son, Jaxton, 6; daughter, Olivia, 4; and Bulldog, Tank.
