DACC Staff Spotlight: Lindsay DeMent, Pharmacy Technician Instructor

Lindsay DeMent has been working at DACC since 2007. She was an American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter up until she became the Pharmacy Technician Instructor in 2016. This is her 5th year teaching. Before DACC, she was working as a Pharmacy Technician and studying to become an Interpreter.

Lindsay has had many great experiences at DACC. “It's hard to select just one… My first graduating class, each time a student passes their certification test, when students find their first job...and, of course, all the 'ah-ha' moments students (and I) have during our class sessions! These are some of my favorite memories.”

Lindsay and her husband Brad have one fur baby - Dixie. She's a spoiled pit-lab mix who loves peanut butter filled bones, specially-made couch beds, doggy daycare, baths, and snugs.

When not teaching, Lindsay enjoys traveling and being outdoors. She’s been to Thailand, Laos, and all over the Caribbean. St. Maarten is her favorite vacation spot.
