Art Show DACC

January 17, 2020

What happens when you challenge Engineering students to create pieces of art to depict a book? Sheer ingenuity.

Our 10th-grade Engineering English students created pieces of art to connect with a theme, implication, or character of the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury & held an art show yesterday to evaluate each other's work.

They used 3-D printers, Photoshop, and good old-fashioned paper and glue for their creations. The art show included a 3-D printed phoenix, a burned book that survived censorship, a book that appeared to be on fire, containing the student's favorite books inside, and much more.

Great job to our Engineering students and to our English teachers for bringing literature to life and tapping into our student's talents.
