2026 DACC Completion Ceremony

The Delaware Area Career Center honored its biggest completer class to-date – 654 students strong – on Thursday evening at Delaware Hayes High School.

This year’s Completion Ceremony featured remarks from nearly a dozen student speakers, as well as Superintendent Jay Poroda and Lead High School Principal Mike Herzog. Audrey Bohman, a senior from Olentangy Liberty in DACC’s Healthcare Technician program, delivered the keynote student address, which focused on the idea of “change” and how each senior in attendance had grown through their time at the career center.

“For many of us, choosing to come to DACC was one of the first real decisions we made for ourselves. It was a decision to take a different path, to step outside of what was familiar, and to try something new,” said Bohman, who will be attending the University of Tennessee in the fall on the school’s Pre-Med track.

“We did not stay where we were comfortable. We chose something different. And that choice shaped everything that came after.”

By stepping out of their comfort zones and attending DACC, Bohman said members of the Class of 2026 were able to take a meaningful step toward their future goals.

“Over these past few years, none of us are exactly the same people we were when we started,” she said. “We did not just learn new skills or routines, we became different versions of ourselves – more focused, more responsible, and more aware of what is ahead.”
