Jacob Robinson, a 2016 graduate of DACC’s Law Enforcement program, has turned his training into a rewarding career serving others. After attending DACC and Thomas Worthington High School, Jacob went on to become a Police Officer with the Village of St. Paris, where he thrives on the daily challenges and problem-solving that come with keeping his community safe.

“Each day brings a new challenge and keeps you on your toes,” Jacob shares. His role allows him to protect the public and help keep dangerous drugs off the streets—responsibilities he takes great pride in.

Jacob credits DACC with helping him prepare for the physical and practical demands of the police academy, while also giving him the chance to get his feet wet in law enforcement before graduation. “DACC not only got me ready for the academy but also gave me the excitement and confidence to take the next steps toward becoming a police officer and to network within the law enforcement community.”

For current students, Jacob has this advice: “Take your lab seriously and work hard every day. The effort you put in now will prepare you for the challenges ahead in your career.”

Jacob’s success demonstrates how DACC provides students with more than just classroom learning—it provides real-world skills, experiences, and connections that lead directly to meaningful careers.
