Fire and Law

Students from our Fire Service Training and Criminal Justice programs recently presented to the DACC Board of Education, showcasing how they work together to simulate real-life emergency scenarios. These collaborative exercises, including mock car accident scenes, provide students with essential, hands-on experience that mirrors the teamwork required in actual emergency response situations.

At the heart of any real-world emergency is a coordinated effort between fire service and law enforcement professionals. DACC students are learning this first-hand thanks to their instructors, Captain Tim Stainer (Fire Service) and Mr. Brian Allen (Criminal Justice), who design realistic training experiences to prepare students for future careers in public safety.

The Board heard from several students who shared their insights and experiences:

  • Tristyn Bridgewater – Criminal Justice 2, Olentangy Orange

  • Matilyn Herman – Criminal Justice 2, Olentangy Berlin

  • William Miller – Criminal Justice 2, Big Walnut

  • Morgan Murray – Fire Service Training 2, Olentangy High School

  • Joey Roberts – Fire Service Training 2, Delaware Hayes

We are proud of these students for their leadership and commitment to public safety, and grateful to our instructors for providing these impactful learning opportunities.
