Elijah Bowie, a 2014 graduate of DACC’s Digital Design program, has turned his passion for creativity and strategy into a thriving career. Today, Elijah runs his own sales and marketing consulting firm, leveraging the tools and experience he gained during his time at DACC to stay ahead of the competition.
Reflecting on the impact of the Digital Design program, Elijah credits his instructor, Mr. Gallagan, and the hands-on experiences he gained for giving him a significant advantage in the industry. “Mr. Gallagan and the Digital Design program gave me access to the tools and real-world experience that put me leaps and bounds ahead of not only my peers but also those who had already been in the industry,” he shares. These early opportunities gave Elijah the confidence and skills to build a successful consulting firm and help businesses grow.
Elijah’s advice to current and future DACC students is simple but powerful: “Take full advantage of all the experiences, equipment, internships, and relationships with staff while you’re there.” His encouragement emphasizes the unique value of the resources available at DACC and the importance of making the most of every opportunity.
Elijah Bowie’s journey showcases how DACC’s career and technical education programs can provide students with a competitive edge, setting them up for long-term success. His story is a reminder that with the right foundation, students can achieve their goals and make a lasting impact in their fields.
