OSU Physicians Interview Medical Assisting Students

Every day at DACC is filled with potential for unique learning opportunities. Seniors in the Medical Assisting program recently received real-life experience doing something that takes many adults years to become comfortable with – interviewing.

Physicians from The Ohio State University visited the program to speak with the students about the diverse career opportunities available to them in the medical field. Immediately following the presentation, five students sat down for actual job interviews with the visiting professionals.

Their classmates weren't left out of the action, though – everyone else participated in mock interviews, getting valuable feedback and experience. Thank you to Victoria Swonger, our Medical Assisting Instructor, who made it all happen. Her effort to keep strong ties with our business partners means our students get unique chances like this, turning classroom lessons into real-world opportunities.
