Students from the DACC/BV Middle School CBI demonstrated community spirit as they utilized a class project to support a local family. Under the guidance of Tina Francis, Career Exploration teacher, four students—Andrew Nibert, Logan Goodrich, Trinity Goodrich, and Javier Dominguez—joined efforts with Habitat for Humanity to provide essential gifts and supplies to the Crawford family, new homeowners through the Habitat for Humanity program.

Over their spring break, these students took a hands-on approach to learning about budgeting and community support by purchasing cleaning supplies and personal gifts. The initiative was not only about giving but also about learning vital life skills such as financial management, cost comparison, and the importance of community aid, with support from Modern Woodmen, who provided a grant for this purpose.

The dedication ceremony, where students presented these gifts to the Crawfords, was a heartfelt moment of community and joy. It highlighted the positive impact of the school's focus on real-world learning experiences. This project exemplifies DACC's vision to empower and inspire students by connecting them with meaningful opportunities to make a difference.
