Accentuating Alumni - Amanda Sugerik

Meet Amanda Sugerik, a DACC alumna making waves in the field of wildlife and resource management! A Westerville Central High School graduate, Amanda completed DACC’s Wildlife and Resource Management program in 2021. She's now a seasonal park ranger with Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks at Highbanks, having recently earned her degree in Parks and Museum Education from Hocking College in May.

Amanda credits her success to the unwavering support and guidance she received at DACC, especially from her instructor, Dona Rhea. “Dona Rhea was a constant source of inspiration and encouragement. Her belief in my abilities and the practical knowledge I gained at DACC gave me a strong foundation, making my college education even more impactful,” she reflects.

Today, Amanda is a testament to the value of DACC's education. She emphasizes, “To all current and future DACC students: Don’t underestimate the power of a DACC education. It was the best decision I ever made, opening doors to numerous opportunities. Take your program seriously; the reputation of DACC and its network can significantly influence your career path.”
