Congratulations to our Business Professionals of America national competitors! A record-breaking 43 students traveled to Anaheim, California to compete against the best of the best in their Career and Technical Education fields.
We are proud of every student who qualified to compete as such a prestigious level. They all worked hard to get to this point, and it shows in their product, their presentations, and their confidence.

National Champions
A cross-lab collaboration of Application Development and Programming, Cybersecurity, and Digital Design won the National Championship and also the National Best in Show at the National Showcase in the contest of Web Application Development. The all-female/senior team consisted of Jane Spelman (DD), Lainey Wright (App), Afton Turner (Cyb), and Sarah Church (DD). They created a PHP-based app called Apiary Hives that promotes cross-team collaboration and messaging to improve workplace communication and productivity. National Runners-up
- Digital Design student Vienna Van Dromme finished 2nd in the Nation in the Computer Modeling competition.
- Digital Design students Erica Bartholomew, Grace Gabriel, Addison Ballard finished 2nd in the Nation in UX Design using Adobe XD.

- Digital Design students Josh Emmons finished 4th in the Nation in Virtual Multimedia Promotion Individual
- Digital Design students Reagan McHenry finished 5th in the Nation in Virtual Multimedia Promotion Individual
- Digital Design students Connor Tracy, Callum Caldwell, Zechariah Bowie, and Anna Shroyer finished 5th in the Nation in Virtual Multimedia Promotion Team Event.
- Digital Design Student Amal Hassan finished 4th in the Nation in Promotional Photography
- Digital Design student Connor Kane finished 10th in the Nation in Promotional Photography
- Digital Design student Sean Meara finished 5th in the Nation in Promotional Photography
- Digital Design student Lillian Royise finished 9th in the Nation in Promotional Photography
- Digital Design students Jessica Hamilton/Mackenzie Hoye/Tallulah Conforti/Lindsay Reda finished 4th in the Nation in 2D Animation
- Digital Design 2D Animation team of Daniel San Filippo/Jordan Simmons/Amelia Dobay/Madelyn Fish finished 6th in the Nation.
- Cybersecurity student Diego Noria finished 4th in the Nation in Linux Operating System Fundamentals and received a Linux Pro Certification.
- Digital Design students Christian Aufderheide, Caleb Baker, Jack Steele and Nathan Reynolds finished 6th in the Nation in Computer Animation.
- Digital Design students Carter Sharp and Max SanClemente finished 10th in the Nation in Podcast Production.
National Qualifiers
- Delaware Hayes Business Students Claire Artemus and Presley Christopher finished in the Top 5 in the State of Ohio and were National Qualifiers in Presentation Management Team.
- Digital Design student Allison Reynolds finished 1st in the State of Ohio and 11th in the Nation in Fundamentals of Desktop Publishing.
- App Dev student Emon Bhattacherjee finished 15th in the Nation in SQL Database Fundamentals
- Digital Design student Alayna Moore was Ohio State Champion and National Qualifier in Graphic Design.
- App Dev and Digital Design students Cohen Brown (app), Logan Ragland (app), Gavin Compton (DD), and Janya Nelahonne (DD) finished as State Runners Up and National Qualifier.
- Digital Design junior Janya Nelahonne finished 1st in the State of Ohio and National Qualifier in Digital Communication and Design Concepts
- App Dev student Micah Olson finished 3rd in Ohio and was a National Qualifier in C# Programming.
