These 3-day summer camps are a great way to explore career options, meet other students with similar interests, and participate in fun, hands-on projects.

Delaware Difference Camp - Camp registration is at capacity
Community service has always been an integral part of the Delaware Difference. Campers will work on meaningful community service projects to show commitment to themselves, to others, and to their ability to shape the future. Many students with a desire to help others decide to pursue a career in public, social, and human services. Campers will have the chance to learn a little about these career fields while putting together plans to make a positive difference. Service-learning activities and projects will be incorporated into the day to help build teamwork and problem-solving skills. Rising 7th, 8th, and 9th graders are invited to join us for this summer camp.

3D Modeling Camp-Camp registration is at capacity
Please join us for DACC’s 3D Character Modeling & Design Summer Camp! During this camp students will get to explore 3D modeling while learning some fundamentals of character design and development. Students will learn to work in a 3D modeling environment to create, sculpt, texture, and render their characters using Blender 3D modeling software. Rising 7th, 8th and 9th graders are invited to join us for this summer camp.

Babysitting Bootcamp Camp - Camp registration is at capacity
Imagine spending time with adorable kids, playing games, and having fun while earning some extra cash! Join the DACC Babysitting Boot Camp to learn everything you need to know to become a successful babysitter. It’s more than just babysitting…it’s a first business venture where you can earn your own money, learn to be independent and responsible, and begin building a reputation for being professional. Campers will play games, do arts and crafts, and learn important skills like first aid and CPR, snack nutrition, interviewing skills, games, and activities, and more! Rising 7th, 8th and 9th graders are invited to join us for this summer camp.

BattleBot Camp -Camp registration is at capacity
Embark on a journey into the realm of robotics at the BattleBot Robotics Camp. Participants will collaboratively engage their intellect while delving into the fascinating world of robotics. Working within DACC's fully equipped Robotics and Automation lab, campers will take on the exciting challenge of constructing a Vex Cortex Clawbot. They'll have the opportunity to enhance their creations with accessories, armor, and weapons, time permitting. The culmination of their efforts will lead to thrilling battles as teams face off in the BattleBot Arena. This summer camp is open to rising 7th, 8th, and 9th graders eager to immerse themselves in the exciting field of robotics.

Customized Collision Repair Camp - Camp registration is at capacity
Join the professionals of DACC's Automotive Collision team to design and create your own custom airbrushed metal panel. Campers will engage in a hands-on project working with design elements, metal fabrication and air brush painting, while using the tools and equipment from the auto collision field. Please note: Students will be exposed to carving chisels, hammers, cardboard, sharp pen knives, water paint, and wood dust because of this activity. Dress requirements: campers MUST wear long pants (preferably jeans) and closed-toe leather shoes/boots. Rising 7th, 8th, and 9th graders are invited to join us for this summer camp

Flavors Unleashed Culinary Arts Camp- Camp registration is at capacity
It’s often said that food brings us together. Whether served at a five-star restaurant or in your grandparents’ kitchen, it functions as one of society’s greatest connectors, bonding strangers and building community. Learn the science behind creating great food in our culinary arts camp. Led by DACC’s Culinary Arts team, campers will get a fast-paced, fun, and hands-on education in food preparation and marketing, learning the basics of what it takes to produce and serve a multi-course summer barbecue lunch (to be enjoyed by all students and staff on the final day of camp). This engaging, real-world look at the culinary arts industry will encourage students to get creative and experience the power of culinary connectivity through the eyes of an executive chef. Dress requirements: campers MUST wear long pants and tennis shoes. Rising 7th, 8th and 9th graders are invited to join us for this summer camp.

Forensics Beyond the Tape Camp-Camp registration is at capacity
Students jump into the role of forensic scientists as they work to solve three fictional cases, a car crash, a robbery, and environmental neglect. They will gather evidence from crime scene, process blood evidence to learn about genetics, identify unknown white powders using chemistry skills, recreating a crash model using physics, identify microbes, and much more, The atmosphere will allow any student that would like to live a CSI or NCIS dream to come true. The activities promote objective-based learning that compels the application of science through real-world problem solving and are aligned with grade-appropriate Next Generation Science Standards. Rising 7th, 8th and 9th graders are invited to join us for this summer camp.

Game Design Camp- Camp registration is at capacity
Join DACC’s App Development and Programming team for Camp Game Design. Get ready to be creative and use new technical skills! Campers will get the chance to design their own video or computer game using Unity software. This camp is focused on creating, developing, and coding your own game, not on just playing games or coding in general. No prior experience is needed for this camp. Rising 7th, 8th, and 9th graders are invited to join us for this summer camp.

Video Production Camp- Create a Music Video-Camp registration is at capacity
Video production is used everywhere in the world of marketing. From YouTube to TikTok to corporate websites, video is used to promote brands all over the world as well as bring cultures together. Music videos are very popular way to connect to our culture. In our video production camp, you will learn basic video production skills using Canon DSLR cameras, professional sound equipment and Adobe Premiere software (the standard in video production) to create a music video to a popular song. Rising 7th, 8th and 9th graders are invited to join us for this summer camp.

Welding Camp- Camp registration is at capacity
Join DACC’s Welding & Sheet Metal Fabrication team for our Welding summer camp! Campers will complete a guided safety training before accessing any of the equipment in the welding lab. Get creative and participate in the creation of multiple welding challenges and complete student-made take home projects. Dress requirements: campers MUST wear long pants (preferably jeans) and closed-toe leather shoes/boots. Campers wearing shorts, skirts, sweatpants/joggers, gym shoes, sandals, crocs, etc. will not be able to participate. Rising 7th, 8th and 9th graders are invited to join us for this summer camp.
