DACC offers Microsoft 365 Word classes at two levels, Word Basic and Word Intermediate, based on your current skill level (see descriptions below). Each session is a 12-hour course.

After registering, please email the instructor MeiderT@DelawareAreaCC.org and state which class you are interested in taking (basic or intermediate) so she can design a class to best fit your needs. The class will run during the dates and times listed.

The Word Basic course will introduce the basic software features and is designed for computer users who want to learn more about word processing. Students will learn how to create, format, and edit a word processing document, set tabs and paragraph indents, create bulleted and numbered lists, divide pages into columns, add headers, footers and page numbers, create tables and charts, and proof and print final documents.
Pre-requisite: a familiarity with computers and Microsoft programs.

The Word Intermediate course will review the basic operations of Word and move to more advanced topics such as applying and modifying styles and themes, using hyperlinks, mail merge function, creating a table of contents, forms, formatting pictures, shapes, text boxes, SmartArt graphics, drawing tool, embedding charts, and working with icons.
Pre-requisite: Microsoft 365 Word Basic course or equivalent work experience.

This course is also available off-campus on a contract basis for business and community groups.  We can also work with businesses to provide this on a flexible schedule to accommodate the work schedules of employees.
