Wildlife and Resource Management Instructor Ms. Dona Rhea has been honored with the Elbert K. Fretwell Outstanding Educator Award, a national recognition presented by Scouting America to educators, administrators, and school districts that support the Scouting movement and promote the values embodied in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Dona Rhea serves as DACC’s Wildlife Resource Management instructor.
The award recognizes individuals who help develop character, leadership, and ethical decision-making in young people through their work in education and youth development.
For Ms. Rhea, the recognition reflects her commitment to helping students grow both personally and professionally through experiences in the classroom and at Camp Lazarus.
“I love being part of the DACC Wildlife program and feel very humbled to be acknowledged for helping lead students' ethical actions at Camp Lazarus and in their personal lives,” said Rhea.
