This past spring, two teams from DACC’s Digital Design program earned first place at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference, representing DACC at the highest level of competition and bringing home top national honors.
To celebrate their incredible achievement, the students were recently awarded commendations from Ohio State Representative Brian Lorenz. These official recognitions highlight the dedication, creativity, and technical skill that helped these students rise to the top in their respective categories.
The two teams competed in separate categories and both came away with first-place titles:

Video Production Team (Junior Team – Now Seniors):
Abby Camealy (Homeschool)
Brandon Fisher (Worthington Kilbourne HS)
Michael Kromhout (Olentangy Liberty HS)
Nick DeVault (Big Walnut HS)
Computer Animation Team (Graduated Seniors):
Antonio Rodriguez (Delaware Hayes HS)
Luke Bennett (Treca)
Natalie Vrancken (Big Walnut HS)
Brodie Westrick (Olentangy Berlin HS)
The teams competed at the local, regional, and state levels before advancing to nationals, where they used their creativity, collaboration, and technical skills to solve real-world challenges in their fields.
Since the Computer Animation Team graduated last spring and began their college careers this fall, we were especially excited to welcome them back into the building over winter break to present them with their commendations. It was a great opportunity to reconnect, celebrate their accomplishments, and reflect on how far they’ve come.
Thank you to Representative Brian Lorenz for recognizing the outstanding work of our students and honoring their achievements in such a meaningful way. We’re proud of these young professionals and all they’ve accomplished through hard work and the support of their peers and instructors.
