Trinity Swearengen, a 2023 graduate of the Delaware Area Career Center’s Dental Assisting program, is already making a difference in the dental field. After graduating, she began working as a dental assistant, a role she describes as challenging at times but deeply fulfilling. Trinity is also continuing her education, pursuing an associate degree in Dental Hygiene.
Reflecting on her time at DACC, Trinity credits the program with opening doors for her future. “DACC gave me a foot in the door for my career. I was able to receive my Radiology Certificate and earn my Registered Dental Assistant certification—the test was paid for in full by the school,” she explained. These achievements set her apart as she entered the workforce and continued her education.
Trinity also shared how grateful she is for her supportive family. “My parents support me 100% and even help pay for my tuition. I’m so thankful and blessed to have them behind me.”
When asked what advice she would give current students, Trinity emphasized the importance of connections. “Make friends with your classmates. All of my friends still keep in touch, and I love them all dearly.”
Trinity’s story demonstrates how DACC equips students with real-world certifications, strong support systems, and lifelong friendships that continue to shape their success.
