Networking Students Participate in CyberPatriot Competition

February 1, 2016

For the first year, DACC Networking students are participating in CyberPatriot, an online competition hosted by the Air Force Association to encourage high school students to pursue careers in cybersecurity and STEM programs. The competition puts teams of high school and middle school students in the position of newly hired IT professionals tasked with managing the network of a small company. The teams are given a set of virtual images that represent operating systems and are tasked with finding cybersecurity vulnerabilities within the images and hardening the system while maintaining critical services.

Seniors Alex Berry, Landon Long, Calvin Lawson, Jimmy Cheng, and Team Captain, Jason Hollifield competed on Friday afternoon.
