Construction Students Volunteer for Habitat for Humanity

June 3, 2010

For the last few weeks, DACC’s Construction Technology class has been volunteering their time and efforts for Delaware County’s Habitat for Humanity.

Every year, Gene Scott’s Construction students work with Habitat for Humanity on a home in Delaware County and 2010 is no different. This year, the students focused their energy on the home’s garage on Liberty Street. This kind of end-of-the-year project brings together all of the individual lessons they’ve been learning this year and shows them the practical application. They’ll be able to drive by that house and see the work they’ve done and know that the homeowners are using that garage every day.

Thanks to Mr. Scott and his students for their work!
