Congratulations to our Class of 2011!!

On June 1st, DACC Completers crossed the stage to receive their Career Passports at the Aladdin Shrine Temple. These students have put in countless hours of community service and have been offered over $345,000 in scholarships.

At the ceremony, DACC Superintendent, Mary Beth Freeman, addressed the students. She had recently interviewed several seniors and passed on their thoughts and reflections, including:

  • Follow your passion and don’t allow others to sway you.
  • Be willing to sacrifice immediate gratification to reach your long-term goals.
  • Always look at all of your options.
  • Don’t ever let challenges hold you back.

Class of 2011 - Student Speakers

Student speakers, Talia Bond and Mary Katherine Clegg, also addressed the senior class. Talia pointed out that everyone in attendance is living proof that DACC isn’t for students who ‘can’t cut it,’ but are for students who are true leaders. Mary Katherine reflected on the leadership skills that she and her fellow students have built while at DACC, along with an appreciation for community service and strategic planning skills.

Congratulations to all of our completing seniors. Every student will be missed, but we are excited to see what your future holds.
