DACC Students Celebrate National Manufacturing Day

October 9, 2014

On October 3rd, DACC students who attend classes at Buckeye Valley Middle School and Dempsey Middle School celebrated National Manufacturing Day. Local businesses in Delaware County opened their doors to give these students behind-the-scenes tours and talk to them about the promising careers that are available in the manufacturing industry.

The strength of our community is reliant on our students graduating with employable skills and their ability to keep our economy strong. Manufacturing plays a large role in that economy. We appreciate the time these businesses took to speak with our students and show them how important science, technology, engineering, and math are to their industries:

Associated Hygienic Products
Luvata
Federal Heath Sign Company
Emerson Electric

Another thank you to Jimmy John’s for providing lunch and sharing a how-to guide for landing that first job.
