Congratulations to our newest DACC Alumni Hall of Fame Members!

The Delaware Area Career Center is proud to welcome three new members into the distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame. Josh Schooley, Casey Clark, and Dale Huffman were all nominated by a third party and chosen by a selection committee made up of community members, representatives from local businesses, and local business owners. In order to be chosen, candidates must have graduated at least five years ago, had positive involvement at DACC while they were a student, demonstrated success in their career field, given back to their community, and proven that they could overcome obstacles to obtain their success. The Induction Ceremony was held on Thursday, October 11th during the Delaware Area Career Center’s annual Advisory Committee Appreciation Dinner. In attendance to support the Career Center, the programs, and the inductees were over 150 representatives from local businesses.

Josh Schooley graduated in 1999 after taking DACC’s Marketing Management and Computer Technology programs. He was involved in many student activities at DACC, including holding the position of President of DECA. After leaving DACC, he took that leadership experience and applied it to his professional life. He is currently the Co-Founder and Vice President of Dragonfly Gift and Candle Company in Canal Winchester. Through his company, he supports the Stephanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research and the Canal Winchester Courage, Conquer, and Cure programs. He is also working closely with other local businesses to found the Canal Winchester Downtown Merchants Association to support the continued growth of the Canal Winchester area.

Casey Clark is a 2004 graduate of DACC’s Information Technology Academy with a focus in media. After graduating from DACC and attending the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and the Columbus College of Art and Design, Casey went to work as a Visual Communications Coordinator for the Limited Brands. She has also launched her own successful lifestyle photography business, Casey Clark Photography. In her spare time, she volunteers at DACC as an advisor to the Information Technology program and also to students who need additional help in photography classes. In addition, she can also be found participating in the Pelotonia to support cancer research, the Race for the Cure to support Breast Cancer research, and donating her time to the Mid Ohio Food Bank and the United Way.

Dale Huffman graduated from the Agricultural Mechanics program in 1977 and today, works for Voss Brothers as an Equipment Technician. Dale, his parents, and his siblings have been involved with DACC for over 35 years. Dale’s father was on one of the early Boards of Education and Dale is joining his brother, Dan, and sister, Claire, in the Alumni Hall of Fame. As a student, Dale participated in numerous activities and community service projects. Throughout his adult life, Dale continues to stay involved with the community. He has served as the small engine judge both at the Delaware County Fair and here at DACC. He is a member of the motor sports committee at the Delaware County Fair. He is a retired volunteer firefighter for both Liberty and Berlin Townships. He is also the President of the Delaware County Antique Machinery Club and the President of the Delaware County Snowmobile Club.
