Delaware Area Career Center hosts its first Fun Fest

On Friday, August 24th, the North Campus of Delaware Area Career Center will be full of kids, staff, games, food and activities. The Delaware Area Career Center is hosting its fi rst annual Fun Fest to welcome students back to school and to thank them for choosing DACC as an educational option.
Because the many students at DACC are half day students, the Fun Fest will be an all day event from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Students from both campuses will enjoy free activities such as softball, fi shing, corn hole, and skateboarding. They will be entertained by student bands. The National Guard will be supplying a climbing wall and the famous “drug goggles.” Students will also have a chance to play Bingo, LAN games, and board games. Lunch will be served to all students.
Approximately 580 students will attend the morning portion and another 520 students will attend in the afternoon. Please contact Lisa Riegel if you plan to attend. Parking will be tight and she can arrange a place for you.
The Delaware Area Career Center offers twenty seven programs in seven cluster areas: animal science and management, business and communications, construction center, health and safety services, human resources and services, manufacturing center, and transportation center.
