2008 President of Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA)

On January 13, 2008, Edward A. Bischoff was installed as 2008 President of the Ohio School Boards Association at a ceremony held at the South Campus of Delaware Area Career Center. Mr. Bischoff has been a school board member for 29 years. He has served on the boards for Olentangy Local School, Delaware/Union Educational Service Center and the Delaware Area Career Center and has served as President of each Board. Mr. Bischoff’s work with the OSBA includes membership on the Central Region Executive Committee, and as President of the Central Region, serving on the OSBA Board of Trustees, the Legislative Platform Committee, the Student Achievement Leadership Team and the Capital Conference Planning Committee.

School board members and administrators from around the state gathered for the installation ceremony. Presentations were made by students highlighting their successes in education in Ohio. In his remarks, Mr. Bischoff emphasized the need for school districts to continue to work together to prepare students for ever-changing technology and jobs in fields that “have not even been created yet”.
