Columbus State Community College has been dedicated to meeting the educational needs of our community for more than 40 years. The College has grown from an initial enrollment of 67 students in 1963, to its current thriving campus of more than 23,000 students.
Marion Technical College
Marion Technical College was founded in 1970 with one priority: to improve employment opportunities for area residents through quality education at the local level. Classes began in 1971 with 187 students in four technical programs. Since then, more than 30,000 students have attended MTC, and around 2,500 have graduated with an associate degree. Currently 2,600 students are enrolled in nearly 70 associate degree and certificate programs in Business, Information, Engineering, Nursing, Medical Sciences, Public Service, Radiography, and Physical Therapist Assisting technologies.
