Nurse Aide Training Program

Course Description
This 84-hour course provides instruction on utilizing a humanistic approach to provide basic care to people in a variety of health care settings. Students will understand how health care systems operate and will learn the skills necessary to function safely and efficiently in a health care setting. Students will learn the information and practical skills necessary for taking and passing the certification exam required by the state.

Definition: A program that prepares individuals to perform routine nursing-related services to patients in hospitals or long-term care facilities, under the training and supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.

Admission Requirements Prior to Coming to Class

  • Physical exam - download the form
  • Two-part TB test - download the form
  • Complete the ACT WorkKeys tests: Applied Math, Reading for Information, and Locating Information. A score of three (3) or higher is required on each test. Appeals to this rule may be sent to the Adult Education Operations Director.
  • Verification of High School Graduation: High school diploma, transcript or GED. College Transcripts or degree accepted


$675 tuition. A minimum payment of $337.50 is due before the first day of class.
Other costs not included in tuition:

  • Scrubs
  • Two-part TB test
  • Physical exam
