Introduction to Welding Processes - Part 1

Learn the current welding processes and welding safety, and be able to produce quality welds using Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick).  The Intro to Welding class consists of seven (7) classes for a total of 21 hours of instruction.

WARNING: Welding produces electrical and magnetic fields that can affect the function of pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), therefore, no person with a pacemaker or ICD will be permitted to take a welding class at DACC.

Upcoming Courses:

Classes will take place on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at our North Campus (1610 State Route 521, Delaware).  The dates will be as follows:

January Class:

1/7, 1/9, 1/14, 1/16, 1/23, 1/28, 1/30 - Registration is now full!

*Students must provide their own safety glasses with shields.  Community-use welding helmets, gloves, and welding jackets are available, but students are more than welcome to bring their own welding helmet and safety gear
